CPS Second Life Advisory Committee - 6/2/08
8 June 2008As a benefit of our Illinois State Library LSTA grant to create our sim in Second Life, we have been able to provide opportunities for twelve of our schools to create virtual offices. In addition, we are in final stages of developing a virtual branch of our CPS Professional Library. To solicit guidance from our stakeholders, we formed the new CPS Second Life Advisory Committee. Our first meeting was held on Monday, June 2. We toured the new, but empty Professional Library. Then, we met in the penthouse Conference Room to discuss ideas for the new library space. The meeting was very productive and yielded many great suggestions. We anticipate a grand opening ceremony for the library in mid-September.
