New ISTE SIG Pavillion in Second Life

8 November 2007

Tonight, I attended the regular Thursday night social and campfire discussion meeting on the ISTE  Island (www.iste.org) in Second Life.  During the social, I began chatting with Kittygloom Cassady (in real life, Jennifer Ragan-Fore, Director of General Membership Programs at ISTE).  She brought me over to the new SIG Pavillion which will soon be open.  In the future, this virtual meeting space will be used to host various small group meetings related to SIG activities.  We were also joined by Corinne Fleury, ISTE docent and SIGMS member.  We used the time to discuss upcoming SIGMS activities.  It is great news that ISTE is providing a virtual space for the SIGs to communicate and collaborate!

To learn more about ISTE’s activities in Second Life visit http://www.iste.org/Content/NavigationMenu/Membership/Member_Networking/ISTE_Second_Life.htm.  While there, it is highly recommended to join the ISTE Second Life Discussion List to be informed about upcoming ISTE events in Second Life.
