Genealogy Research Center
4 April 2007Today, I toured the Genealogy Research Center, located on Info Island (175, 222, 33). This library is a great resource for those who want to quickly locate vetted online resources related to researching their family trees. Inside the library are several comfortable seating areas, including one in which computer monitor panels float in front of seated patrons. These panels contain links to general genealogy resources, geographic research tools, beginning genealogy basic sites, modern research methods, ethnic resources, and government sites.
Next to the main building is a special exhibition related to Irish Genealogy research. Within this attractive and interactive display are special, librarian-selected online resources on topic such as Northern Ireland resources, Irish Emigrant information, Irish Genealogical Religious Resources, and Irish history websites.
