Opening of Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library
2 April 2007
Tonight I attended the opening of the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library. The library, which is on the west side of Cybrary City, has many resources of interest to those who need information about Kansas. There are links to Kansas resources, Local History and Geneology Resources, information specifically of interest to librarians, a state map, an online survey, and more. Visitors could pick up a free virtual Kansas coffee mug and sunflower t-shirt. Best of all, the roof of the library holds a dance floor. The opening culminated with a great dance “up top”.
