ICE-CAP Training at National-Louis University

21 March 2007

Yesterday, Craig Cunningham and I conducted a training at National-Louis University for members of ICE-CAP (http://chapters.iceberg.org/icecap/index.html).  Fifteen educators, primarily CPS teachers and tech coordinators, entered Second Life and learned about how to operate in the virtual environment.  They visited the CPS Department of Libraries virtual office and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) tsunami simulation.  http://www.secondlifeinsider.com/2006/08/18/noaa-comes-to-second-life.  We discussed the various professional educational resources in Second Life which can support their work.  They also joined the “Friends of CPS” SL group, so we can all stay in touch and plan future events together in-world.
