St. Pat’s Day CPS & Illinois Social Event

18 March 2007

On St. Patrick’s Day, we held our first CPS and Illinois social networking event.  The party was attended by about 20 avatars who were from institutions such as the Alliance Library System, the School of the Art Institute, DePaul University, University of Chicago, Southern Illinois University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, ISTE, and of course, CPS.  The party started at my skybox and later moved to another members’ garden dance floor.  In keeping with the theme, I dressed as a leprechaun ;-) and served a virtual Irish feast.  One highlight of the party was when artist Daruma Picnic rezzed his musical sculpture on the lawn.   While social events such as this are fun, they also provide an important opportunity for networking on future projects.
